The oldest between all of Germany's big cities, Cologne was founded by the Romans

visit Cologne is during the weekend of the carnival (habitually at the
end of February or principles of March), in which all are amused
intensely dancing, drinking and forgetting the rules of the bourgeois
life.
The towers of the cathedral of Cologne can be seen at a distant spot
raising itself on the city. With a height of 157 meters, it is the
second higher building and emblem of the city. Along with the
historical helmet, located just next to the Rin, the museum and the
main railway station attract to more than 1.8 million visitors the

The Carnival of Cologne, known anywhere in the world, is, also, a great
tourist attraction. Also denominated Fifth station of the year it
every year begins the eleven hours and eleven minutes of day eleven of
the eleventh month, November. Until Wednesday of Ash, when the
Cuaresma begins traditionally, the city is practically into the hands
of the Jecken, that they animate to the carnival with the numerous
fastos and dances of disguises. The climax of the festejos is the
carnival in the street with the well-known parade of Rosenmontag
(Monday of Carnival) by all the city.
From a cultural point of view, Cologne also has something to offer,
from theater to museums, between which it emphasizes the famous Center
of Exhibitions of Art. Cologne is the international city of the culture
and between its museums it emphasize the Wallraf-Richartz Museum,
with a collection of art that lodges pieces of the Medieval Age until
